Sealed source fabrication facilities RAPPCOF at Rawatbhata, HIRUP & Radiological Laboratories at Trombay and IFRT at Vashi are engaged in meeting the ever increasing demand of sealed sources in the country. These sources are manufactured using sophisticated equipment under stringent quality control to meet the prescribed standards by leak and contamination test Performance of these sources is ensured under conditions of normal use as well as anticipated accidental conditions. The sources conform to various national and international standard i.e. AERB standard SS-3 (2001) with a typical classification designation of E 65535 and Special Form Radioactive Material.
