Regional Centre, Bengaluru
Regional Centre, Bengaluru was set up in 1984 and is located in the premises of Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology (KMIO) at Bengaluru with the objective to offer services to Nuclear Medicine Centres located in and around the region.
This Centre is involved in :
- Production, Quality Control and Supply of ready-to-use 99mTc- (Technetium) radiopharmaceuticals
- Sale of cold kits through retail outlet for the preparation of 99mTc-radiopharmaceutical formulation
- Irradiation of blood using gamma irradiation chamber for different hospitals and blood banks in Bengaluru
- Radioactivity testing of Cs-137 in human food, animal feed, medicines, agricultural, bakery and dairy products are carried out. Radio Analytical Laboratory is accredited by NABL for testing and calibration under ISO/IEC 17025:2017
