Gamma  Scanning of Industrial Process Columns

Gamma Scanning of industrial process columns is a useful NDT tool for visualizing the column internals without shutting down or opening the columns. It can detect the cause of malfunction in columns / packed beds like;

  • Location and extent of flooding/weeping.
  • Presence or absence of trays or other internals.
  • Liquid levels on trays and packed column liquid distributors.
  • Location and density characteristics of foaming.
  • Position of packed beds.
  • Extent of liquid misdistribution in packed beds.
